====================

"Queen P" is a gorgeous regulation-sized Staunton-style chess Queen made of anodized aircraft-grade aluminum and billet-machined in-house right here in Toronto, Canada.

Available in both Stealth - a stunning matte-black, and Sheen - a gorgeous matte-silver, Queen P's got a trick up her sleeve: she also doubles as a secret stash for small items.

Here at the workshop, Maurice keeps a spare fountain pen cartridge inside his, while Eric stores a few toothpicks at the ready.

  • Tournament regulation size (see all dimensions in images)
  • Anodized aircraft-grade aluminum
  • Use as a chess-promotion queen, fidget toy, and secret stash!
  • Perfect for chess lovers but also looks great as home decor

We make Queen-P in very limited runs at the workshop. Turning on the lathe, and meticulous indexing to get the ridges on the crown perfectly means each Queen P takes hours to complete end-to-end, from a solid billet of aluminum to a finished, anodized woman of great power! Get yours while you can!

You can read the origin story of Queen P here!

Why you may NOT want Queen P:

The process of anodization requires that there are contact points for an electrical charge, and of course, since we want the exterior of Queen P to be as pretty as possible, we anchor the inside of the secret stash which means the inside of Queen P is not anodized evenly, with some bare exposed aluminum mixed with streaks of the anodization (see the second-last photo). This means that not only is the interior void of aesthetic considerations but also, that the inside of Queen P is not food safe, so if you were considering putting something like say, hot sauce (or a small quantity of anything potable), Queen P won't work for your needs. To be clear, the appearance on the interior of Queen P may be unsightly, but is considered normal and does not constitute a defect.

Beyond the interior being void of aesthetic considerations, because these are all hand-dipped and anodized in-house by myself and Eric, even the exteriors may have some "tiger-striping" (see the last photo). This is much more apparent on the matte silver Sheen colorway, and to us, both represents and adds to the handmade nature of Queen P. Whether you like it, is of course, your choice, but we just want to ensure you have all the information you need to make an informed buying decision - after all, each Queen P takes HOURS for us to make, so we only want you to buy it if you share and appreciate the sheer effort each one takes to make. To be clear, exterior "tiger striping" and "drip artifacts" on Queen P may be unsightly to you, but is considered normal and does not constitute a defect.

Note: Since I'm an independent creator, unfortunately, I don't have the bandwidth to process returns. Sales are final but of course, if you receive a defective product, I will ship you a replacement. That said, Eric and I personally inspect every single Queen P so that really shouldn't happen.
