Why I'm moving to Asia for 6 months
I'm excited. I'm also a little trepidatious. Prior to Covid, I had typically gone to Asia 3 or 4 times a year - a combination of business and visiting extended family. It's been 3 years since I've visited the continent, and now, with restrictions lifting, it's time to return to win back lost clients in Japan, Indonesia, and the Philippines, while, of course, spending time with elderly relatives in Taiwan.
I also have a YouTube-channel-related project I want to kick off. More on that in the coming weeks so stay tuned!
As an ancillary purpose for the trip, I'm worried of the state of mainland China's threats to my relatives living in Taiwan, and want to go back to my previous career (which feels like a lifetime ago) and see what I might be able to do to help.
What I'm probably most selfishly excited for though, is to strike a few things off of my bucket list... I'm not sure if I'll have the time, but I'll definitely be trying.
So many thoughts and directions swimming in my head and I feel it's a bit too ambitious; all these random things I'm hoping to accomplish, but I'd love it if you'd join me!
I'm excited about the content I'll be putting out onto my YouTube Channel, and finally, for once in my life, actually using Instagram to document by journey as I navigate through Taiwan, Tokyo, Jakarta, Seoul, Manila, and hopefully a city or two in Vietnam and Cambodia as well!
P.S. I'm looking to hire freelance videographers in all those places, so if you live in any of those countries and know your way around run-and-gun filmmaking... Learn more!
